Interpretation services

The center provides appropriate interpretation services from agencies who can interpret medical terms for patients with hearing impairments or language barriers.

In the case of hearing impairment, only certified interpreters provided by the Chicago Hearing Society will be utilized. Family members and other patient representatives may be used for interpretation services upon the patient's specific request. Patients may decline the services offered from external sources and will be asked to sign a "Declination of Interpretation Services" form.
