Before your surgery
Several days prior to the day of surgery, a nurse will call you to obtain your health history, including detailed information about past medical history, surgeries, allergies and medications. You may create your Pre-Operative Medical History or review our health history and the medication reconciliation record so you will have the necessary information available. If you are receiving local anesthesia only, this information will be obtained from you the day of surgery.
The pre-op nurse will also give you detailed instructions to follow which will be customized for your case depending on the type of surgery and anesthesia you will receive, and will mail you a copy of those instructions.
